Three-Year Veteran Pitcher Heading To Japan
Heading overseas.
According to multiple reports, pitcher Jeremy Beasley is expected to sign with the Hanshin Tigers in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.
Beasley was released by the Pittsburgh Pirates last week as the team needed to free up spots on the 40-man roster.
The twenty-six-year-old appeared in 15 innings for the Toronto Blue Jays last season, recording a 4.80 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 19 strikeouts. He was later acquired by the Pirates at the trade deadline but never made an appearance in the majors with them.
A former 30th-round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in the 2017 MLB Draft, Beasley holds a career 5.84 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 33 strikeouts over 24.2 innings of work.
