Tampa Bay Rays Place Pitcher On Outright Waivers
The Tampa Bay Rays have placed Nick Anderson on outright waivers.
Anderson's injury trouble is the reason for this. He only was able to make six appearances for the Rays in 2021 due to forearm issues, and then pitched in just 16 innings in Triple-A this past season. As a result of this, the 6-foot-4 righty is, unfortunately, hitting the waiver wire.
Before his injuries, Anderson was emerging as a very good reliever. For example, in 2020, he had a 0.55 ERA in 19 appearances. It is a shame that injuries have changed things so dramatically, but here's to hoping he can get fully healthy soon and get his career back on track from there.
