Farmer was a solid reliever for the Reds last season, posting a 3.83 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 54 strikeouts over 47 innings of work. He also converted two saves.
The thirty-one-year-old had a rough start to the season, leading to him being sent down to the Triple-A level, however, he bounced back in the second half, registering a strong 2.83 ERA across 35 innings to finish the season.
The right-handed pitcher should take on a similar, key role, in the Reds bullpen for the 2023 season.
