Pittsburgh Pirates Sign Pitcher
The Pittsburgh Pirates have added to their pitching depth, as they have signed Nate Webb to a minor league contract. It also comes with an invitation to attend the Pirates' Spring Training.
Webb is a pitcher who is trying to cement himself as a major leaguer. He spent this past season split between Triple-A, Double-A, and Rk, where he had a 2-3 record to go along with a 9.99 ERA in 27 games. Yes, he struggled mightily when called upon, but he will be hoping to bounce back with the Pirates organization in 2023.
Nevertheless, there is no harm for a rebuilding team like the Pirates to take a chance on Webb. Let's see how he performs for them from here.
