Pittsburgh Pirates Infielder Undergoes Surgery
Recent Pittsburgh Pirates acquisition Ji-Man Choi is set to have elbow surgery. Thankfully, he is expected to be good to go by Spring Training.
Choi reportedly dealt with elbow issues all season, so it ultimately makes sense for him to get surgery at this time. With this procedure being a minor one, he is not expected to miss any regular-season time, and that is great news for both him and the Pirates. Now, he should be 100% with his new team and could put up a big year because of it.
With the Tampa Bay Rays this season, Choi had 11 home runs, 52 RBIs, and a .233 batting average. It was a down year by his standards, but we will have to wait and see if he bounces back in 2023 from here.
