Phillies Lock In Game 5 Starter
Well, it won't be a series-clinching game.
Regardless, Rob Thomson and the Philadelphia Phillies will start Noah Syndergaard in Game 5 of the World Series against the Houston Astros on Thursday.
It will be Syndergaard on the mound versus Justin Verlander.
The thirty-year-old starter was originally scheduled to pitch in Game 3 on Monday, but the rotation was shuffled due to the game being postponed.
Noah Syndergaard hasn’t pitched more than 35 pitches in a game since October 1st.

The Phillies will most likely go to their bullpen early today
Syndergaard will more than likely be on a short leash in Game 5, given that he hasn't pitched more than 35 pitches in a game since Oct. 1st.
Since being acquired by the Phillies at the trade deadline, Syndergaard has posted a 4.12 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 31 strikeouts over 54.2 innings and nine starts. He holds a 5-2 record with the club.
