Philadelphia Phillies Pitcher Declines Option
Zach Eflin has declined his $15 million mutual option with the Philadelphia Phillies. As a result, he is now a free agent.
Eflin did not have the greatest of seasons, but that hasn't stopped him from testing his luck on the open market. In 20 appearances, he had a 3-5 record to go along with a 4.04 ERA. Injuries took away a good portion of his season, but alas, he is now hoping to land a nice contract in free agency from here.
Eflin should get interest from around the league given his experience. In 127 career games, he has a 36-45 record to go along with a 4.49 ERA.
