Oakland A's Outright 5 Players
The Oakland A's have outrighted Austin Pruitt, Nate Mondou, Sam Selman, Collin Wiles, and Norge Ruiz.
Pruitt got into a good amount of action this season with the A's, but it was not enough for him to avoid this fate. In 39 appearances the 112-game veteran had a 0-1 record and a 4.23 ERA.
Mondou played in one game for the A's this season, where he went 0-for-2 at the plate. The second baseman will now be aiming to impress Oakland from here in hopes of regaining a spot on their 40-man roster.
Selman pitched in 16 games for Oakland this season. Overall, he had mixed results when called upon from the 'pen, as he had a 4.91 ERA in 18.1 innings. Not necessarily bad but also not good enough to keep a spot on their roster, unfortunately.
Wiles appeared in his first four MLB games this season with the A's, where he allowed five earned runs in 9.2 innings. Perhaps a strong Spring Training could put him in the running to be on their major league roster again.
As for Ruiz, he pitched in 14 games this season for the A's. Overall, he struggled during his rookie campaign, as he had a 7.11 ERA to go along with a 0-1 record.
