New York Yankees Select Pitcher

The New York Yankees have added Jimmy Cordero to their 40-man roster. 

Cordero has not pitched in the majors since the 2020 season, but this latest development is the first step in that potentially changing. Now that he is on the Yankees' 40-man roster, he stands a decent shot of being called up to the big league club next season.

Cordero has appeared in 83 career games split between the Washington Nationals, Toronto Blue Jays, and White Sox, where he has a 3-5 record and 4.55 ERA. Let's see if he can improve upon these stats next season as a member of the Yankees from here.
