New York Mets Pitcher Opts Out
Another notable New York Mets pitcher has opted out of his contract. Taijuan Walker is set to hit the open market, following Jacob deGrom.
Walker was set to make $6 million in 2023 if he opted in to his contract, but naturally, he has decided against this. The 10-year veteran just had a fantastic season with the Mets that saw him sport a 12-5 record to go along with a 3.49 ERA. Now, he is set to land a notable payday on the open market because of it.
Teams around the league will express interest in Walker. It will be intriguing to see who ends up winning the sweepstakes, so let's keep an eye on it from here.
