New York Mets Outfielder Undergoes Surgery
New York Mets outfielder Starling Marte underwent surgery to address the core muscle injury he suffered this season. Thankfully, he has an estimated eight-week recovery time, so he should be good to go for Spring Training.
Marte suffered his injury in June but managed to put together an All-Star campaign with the Mets. In 118 games on the year, he had 16 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a .292 batting average. It was a very good year for him, and now that he is set to be fully healthy again, it will be intriguing to see what he does for the Mets in 2023.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping that Marte has a speedy recovery from here.
