MLB Rumors: Trade Talks Heating Up for Marlins Pitcher
According to Jon Heyman, Pablo Lopez is the biggest name the Miami Marlins are currently shopping and he was almost traded to the New York Yankees at the deadline.
The Marlins are looking to improve their roster and plan to use their surplus of pitchers as a way to do it. Out of the bunch made available, Lopez has the potential to land them the biggest return, so it makes sense that they are planning to take advantage of his trade value while it is at its highest.
A sizeable market should form for Lopez, as he is coming off of another good season. In 32 starts this season, he had a 10-10 record to go along with a 3.75 ERA. Let's see where he ends up from here.
