According to Bruce Levine of 670 The Score, the Chicago White Sox has contacted the Oakland A's about Sean Murphy.

The White Sox are coming off of a truly disastrous 2022 season, so it makes sense that they are aiming to make changes to their roster. After heading into the year as expected-contenders, they missed the playoffs entirely and sported an 81-81 record. Not good enough at all, and now Chicago wants to make a splash behind the plate.

With the A's in a full-on rebuild, Murphy's name has been brought up often in the rumor mill since the deadline. He would be a big addition for Chicago, so let's see if something comes to fruition from here. In 148 games this season, he had 18 home runs, 66 RBIs, and a .250 batting average.
