MLB Rumors: Arizona Diamondbacks Linked to Veteran Infielder

According to Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic, the Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to make a push to sign Evan Longoria.

Longoria has already made it known that the Diamondbacks are one of the three teams (Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants) that he is willing to sign with. Although Arizona is not expected to compete for a World Series ring in 2023, he is open to playing with them because he has a house in the state. Therefore, they are looking to take advantage of this.

Longoria's days as an All-Star may be over, but he is still serviceable when healthy. In 89 games this past season with the Giants, he had 14 home runs, 42 RBIs, and a .244 batting average. Let's see if the D-Backs sign him from here.
