Minnesota Twins Star Shortstop Opts Out
Carlos Correa has officially opted out of his contract with the Minnesota Twins. Thus, for the second offseason in a row, he is a free agent.
Correa already made it known that he would opt-out in hopes of landing a bigger contract on the open market. Although he is a free agent, the Twins are still aiming to sign him to a new deal, so his departure is not set in stone. However, several other teams will now be making a big push to sign him as well.
Correa is coming off of a very good season that saw him have 22 home runs, 64 RBIs, and a .291 batting average. Let's see what kind of contract this kind of year lands him from here.
