Milwaukee Brewers & Miami Marlins Complete Trade
The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired Payton Henry from the Miami Marlins in exchange for Reminton Batista.
Henry will provide the Brewers with more catching depth as they prepare for the 2023 season. Over the last two seasons with the Marlins, Henry had zero home runs, four RBIs, and a .186 batting average in 20 games. Overall, he has not taken the world by storm at the beginning of his MLB career, but perhaps the change of scenery to Milwaukee could help change that.
Batista, on the other hand, is a 17-year-old outfielder prospect who will be a long-term project for the Marlins. In 46 games this season in the Dominican Summer League, he had one home run, 13 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, and a .252 batting average.
