Marlins Slugger Will Not Opt-Out

Probably a smart move by him.

Miami Marlins slugger Jorge Soler will not opt-out of his contract with the team.
Soler will earn $15 million this upcoming season with the Marlins and has the ability to opt-out or exercise a $9 million option for the 2024 season.

The thirty-year-old power hitter managed to play just 72 games last season in his first year with Miami, slashing a disappointing .207/.295/.400, with 13 home runs, 34 RBIs and 32 runs scored over 72 games.

Soler has obvious power and, if he can stay healthy, is a prime bounce-back candidate for the 2023 season.
