Marlins Outright Second Baseman
It looks like they're keeping him around.
The Miami Marlins have sent infielder Jose Devers outright to Triple-A Jacksonville.
Devers went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier last week. However, the Marlins have opted to keep the young second baseman in the organization rather than release him.

He cleared waivers and has been outrighted to the minors
Devers made his major league debut in the 2021 season, slashing .244/.304/.317, with five RBIs and seven runs scored across 21 games. In the minors this past season, the twenty-two-year-old slashed .209/.263/.573, with two home runs, 28 RBIs, three stolen bases and 50 hits across 239 at-bats.
He'll provide the Marlins with some middle infield depth heading into the 2023 season.
