Injury Updates On Two Blue Jays Pitching Prospects
He was once a promising pitching prospect in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
Pitcher Joey Murray underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in May.
As previously mentioned, Murray was once an up-and-coming prospect in the Blue Jays organization, but with his injury history, he's struggled to stay on the field over the past three seasons.
He's pitched just 21.1 total innings in affiliated ball since the 2022 season. Barring any setbacks, Murray should return around the middle of the 2023 season.

Trent Palmer, No. 32 on my 2022 top 50 list, underwent Tommy John surgery in August, per sources.
Joey Murray, my No. 33 prospect, also had TJ in May.
On a positive note, CJ Van Eyk (No. 12) is tracking to be full go from 2021 TJ next spring.
Pitcher CJ Van Eyk is tracking toward being a full participant for the Blue Jays during spring training.
Van Eyk is nearing the end of his recovery from Tommy John surgery he underwent last September. The twenty-four-year-old will likely keep ramping up his baseball activities and work to build back his throwing strength this winter before heading to the Blue Jays' spring training camp in Florida.
Van Eyk is the 20th-ranked prospect in the Blue Jays organization and is a former second-round pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
