Injury Update On White Sox's Starter
He had a solid 2022 season.
Chicago White Sox starter Michael Kopech's knee rehab process has been more gradual than expected.
Katz on Michael Kopech: "He’s currently in Texas. He’s rehabbing. It’s going well. It’s going to be a little slower progression than we originally thought but he’s still on track to be ready for spring full go."

Kopech missed the end of the 2022 season due to a shoulder injury and underwent surgery on his right knee in early October. However, although he has not progressed as quickly as anticipated, the White Sox still expect him to be ready for the start of spring training.
The twenty-six-year-old smashed his career high in innings pitched this past season, recording 119.1 innings pitched with a 3.54 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 105 strikeouts. He made 25 starts, crushing his previous career-high of four.
Kopech is a former first-round pick by the Boston Red Sox in the 2014 MLB Draft.
