Cincinnati Reds & Texas Rangers Complete Trade
The Cincinnati Reds have acquired Nick Solak from the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash.
After recording an 11-home run campaign in 2021, Solak was aiming to have a big year for Texas this season. However, things just did not work well for him, as he had a very low .207 batting average in 35 games before being sent down to Triple-A. Needless to say, a change of scenery was necessary, and now he has gotten just that.
With the Reds rebuilding, there's no harm in them taking a chance on Solak. It will be intriguing to see how he performs with Cincinnati from here. Perhaps he can bounce back and become a notable part of their roster in 2023.
