Brewers Rumors: 3 Players Not Expected Back Next Season

Are the Milwaukee Brewers due for some changes to their roster? I'd say so. Although an 86-76 record is not bad, they did miss the postseason, and that's unacceptable for a team with World Series aspirations. Therefore, we should see them part ways with these three players this offseason.

Andrew McCutchen: We are unlikely to see Andrew McCutchen get re-signed by the Brewers this season. The veteran outfielder struggled a bit this campaign for the Brew Crew. Although he had a solid 17 home runs in 134 games, his .237 batting average was certainly low, and they will be looking for an upgrade at DH because of it.

Rowdy Tellez: Rowdy Tellez has entered the rumor mill, as the Brewers are reportedly listening to offers for him. There will certainly be interest in him, as he is coming off of a 35-home run season. The downside with him, however, is he struggles to hit for contact, as his .219 batting average from this year shows. Still, expect to see him on the move from here.

Kolten Wong: The Brewers are likely to pass on Kolten Wong's $10 million club option. That's a good amount of money to spend on him at this juncture, so expect Milwaukee to look to make an upgrade at second base from here.
