Atlanta Braves Sign Pitcher
The Atlanta Braves have signed Nick Anderson to a one-year, split deal. In the majors, he will earn $875,000 for the season and $180,000 in the minors.
Anderson had just elected free agency, and it did not take him long to find a new home. The 6-foot-4 righty did not pitch in the majors last season and only made six appearances in 2021 with the Tampa Bay Rays. Now, he will be aiming to be fully healthy heading into the 2023 season and get his career back on track as a member of the Braves.
Anderson is a solid low-risk, high-reward signing. If he can stay healthy and find his old form in the process, he could be a massive addition for Atlanta. Keep in mind, he had a ridiculous 0.55 ERA in 19 appearances in 2020, so it's clear he can dominate. Alas, let's see how he does with the Braves from here.
