Atlanta Braves Pitcher Elects Free Agency
Jay Jackson's time with the Atlanta Braves has come to an end, as he has elected to become a free agent.
Jackson appeared in two games with the Braves this season, where he pitched 1.1 scoreless innings. Although the sample size was small, he did well when called upon by the Braves, so it will be intriguing to see if that leads to him forming a market from here.
At a minimum, Jackson should be able to land a minor league contract, as teams are always looking for pitching depth. In 59 career MLB games split between the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, and Braves, he has a 3-1 record and 4.21 ERA.
