Arizona Diamondbacks Parting Ways With Pitcher
The Arizona Diamondbacks have rejected their $4 million mutual option with Ian Kennedy. As a result, the veteran pitcher is now a free agent.
This is not the most surprising decision. Kennedy struggled this season, and the truth is in his stats. In 57 appearances, he had a 4-7 record to go along with a 5.36 ERA. As a result, Arizona has decided to part ways with the 16-year veteran.
Kennedy could get interest from some teams in need of pitching depth due to his plethora of MLB experience. In 481 career games, he sports a 104-113 record and 4.14 ERA. We will have to wait and see where the veteran ends up from here.
