Arizona Diamondbacks Move On From Pitcher
The Arizona Diamondbacks have declined Zach Davies' mutual option. As a result, the righty is a free agent.
Davies appeared in 27 games this season with the Diamondbacks, where he had a 2-5 record to go along with a 4.09 ERA. Although it was a better year for him than in 2021, Arizona has decided it's time to move on from the 29-year-old and look to improve their rotation elsewhere.
Davies should get interest on the open market. He's a decent bottom-of-the-rotation pitcher to have, so let's see where the eight-year veteran ends up heading from here.
