2 Arizona Diamondbacks Elect Free Agency
After clearing waivers, Jake Hager and Keynan Middleton have rejected outright assignments by the Arizona Diamondbacks and instead have elected free agency.
Hager played in 28 games for the Diamondbacks this season, where he had zero home runs, three RBIs, and a .240 batting average. Although it was his best showing at the major league level thus far, it was not enough for him to maintain a spot on their 40-man roster. Now, he will be testing his luck on the free-agent market.
Middleton, on the other hand, appeared in 18 games for the D-Backs this season. During them, he had a 1-2 record to go along with a 5.29 ERA. With 154 games of MLB experience, there should be a team willing to take a shot on him from here.
