Six-Year Veteran Pitcher Becomes Free Agent
He's been on six different teams over his six-year career in the majors.
Pitcher Anthony Banda has elected free agency.
Banda signed with the New York Yankees in late August after also spending time during a tumultuous 2022 campaign with the Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays and Pittsburgh Pirates as well.
Banda wound up making just two relief appearances for the Yankees before being demoted to the minor leagues.
The twenty-nine-year-old posted an ugly 6.75 ERA, 2.10 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts over 26.2 innings this season in the majors.
For his career, Banda holds a 5.64 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and 103 strikeouts across 111.2 innings of work.
The former top prospect was a 10th-round draft pick by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2012 MLB Draft.
