San Diego Padres Leave Infielder Off NLDS Roster
Brandon Drury was one of the San Diego Padres' notable additions at this year's trade deadline. Now, as we head into the NLDS, the third baseman has been left off their roster entirely.
Since being dealt to the Padres, Drury has had his fair share of struggles at the plate, so perhaps this is a move that we could have predicted. After hitting 20 home runs and having a solid .274 batting average in 92 games for the Cincinnati Reds, he hit just .238 in 46 regular-season games with the Padres.
Nevertheless, this is not what the Padres expected they would be doing with Drury when they acquired him, but things are forever changing in baseball. Let's see if this decision to keep Drury off the roster pays off for the Padres.
