Rays Select Contract of Pitcher
The Tampa Bay Rays have selected the contract of pitcher Jimmy Yacabonis from Triple-A Durham.
Yacobonis gives the Rays a fresh bullpen arm heading into Tuesday's second-last regular season game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

The thirty-year-old has registered an ugly 7.62 ERA, 1.92 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts over 13 innings pitched in the majors this season split between the Miami Marlins and Rays.
In the minors this season, Yacabonis has posted a solid 3.21 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 43 strikeouts across 33.2 innings of work. He's made 27 relief appearances, converted two saves, and has a 6-4 record.
He probably won't be an option for the Rays in the postseason.
