It's official now that the Rays will be heading to Cleveland for a best-of-three AL Wild Card Series, so Fleming will be called upon to eat up as many innings as he can in what is a meaningless final game of the season at Fenway Park.
The twenty-six-year-old has posted an ugly 6.23 ERA, 1.91 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts over 30 innings this season. In nine appearances, he's made two starts and holds a 2-4 record.
In the minors this season, Fleming has registered a solid 3.06 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts over 64.2 innings of work. In 15 appearances, he's made 10 starts and holds a strong 9-2 record.
