Rays Option Infielder
The Tampa Bay Rays have optioned infielder Miles Mastrobuoni to Triple-A Durham.
Mastrobuoni made his major league debut on September 23 against the Toronto Blue Jays, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two singles.
The Rays have designated RH Easton McGee for assignment, optioned INF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni to Triple-A Durham, recalled INF/OF Vidal Bruján from Durham and selected RH Kevin Herget (#44) from Durham.

Over his first 16 at-bats in the major leagues, Mastrobuoni slashed .188/.235/.423, with one stolen base and one run scored.
In the minors this season, the twenty-six-year-old was fantastic, hitting .300/.377/.846, with 16 home runs, 64 RBIs, 23 stolen bases and 92 runs scored across 507 at-bats.
Mastrobuoni is a former 14th-round pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2016 MLB Draft. He'll have a chance to make the Rays' 2023 Opening Day roster.
