Godoy got into 10 major league games this past season, split between the Minnesota Twins and Pirates, slashing an ugly .050/.136/.050, with one RBI and three runs scored.
In total, Godoy has only played 26 games in the majors in his career.
In the minor leagues this season, the twenty-eight-year-old slashed just .227/.290/.654, with six home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored over 176 at-bats.
Godoy will likely compete for the Pirates backup catcher job in 2023.
