Pirates Activate Starter for Final Start
The Pittsburgh Pirates activated starter JT Brubaker from the 15-day injured list.
Brubaker was on a pitch count in his final start of the 2022 season on Tuesday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.

In addition, we have recalled INF/OF Tucupita Marcano from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned C José Godoy to the minors.
Brubaker allowed three runs across 2.2 innings of work in the Pirates' extra-innings loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.
The Pirates obviously didn't want to work Brubaker too hard in his first start back from a lat injury, as the twenty-eight-year-old recorded just eight outs.
Brubaker finishes his up-and-down season with an overall ERA of 4.69, a 1.47 WHIP, and 147 strikeouts over 144 innings. He made 28 starts and held an ugly 3-12 record.
The good news for Brubaker is that he's now healthy entering the offseason. The right-handed pitcher still has three years of arbitration left with the Pirates.
