Phillies manager Thomson announced the news on Wednesday morning while also adding that Zack Wheeler is lined up for a Game 2 start on Saturday.
Nola struggled in his start against the San Diego Padres in the NLCS, but he was fantastic in both the Wild Card Series and National League Division Series.
The twenty-nine-year-old ace registered a strong 3.25 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 235 strikeouts across 205 innings of work this season. He held an 11-13 record in the regular season.
