Orioles Outright 2 Players
The Baltimore Orioles have outrighted Aramis Garcia and Chris Ellis to Triple-A Norfolk.
Garcia was claimed off of waivers from the Cincinnati Reds earlier this month, and he will now be a part of the Orioles minor league depth. However, once the 2023 season rolls around, we should not rule out the possibility of him making their 40-man roster. After Adley Rutschman, the Orioles' catching depth is a bit questionable, so look to see Garcia compete for a spot. In 47 games last season with the Reds, he had one home run, four RBIs, and a .213 batting average.
Ellis, on the other hand, appeared in two games for the Orioles this past season, where he had a 10.38 ERA. He obviously struggled this campaign, so he will be aiming to bounce back in 2023 once he is fully healthy. First, he will need to impress to earn himself a spot on their 40-man roster. Let's see if he can do just that.
