Just as soon as the New York Mets get a pitcher back, they lose one.
The Mets have placed pitcher Tylor Megill on the COVID-19 injured list.

RHP Mychal Givens has been reinstated from the Injured List and will start tonight’s contest.
RHP Tylor Megill has been placed on the Injured List.
Megill was actually placed on the injured list with no injury designation which, by now, is pretty obvious what that means.
His availability for the start of the playoffs will depend on how quickly he can recover or produce back-to-back negative tests.
The twenty-seven-year-old finishes his 2022 regular season with an underwhelming 5.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 51 strikeouts over 47 innings. In 15 appearances, he made nine starts and held a 4-2 record.
Megill is a former eighth-round pick by the Mets in the 2018 MLB Draft. He is also the brother of Minnesota Twins' pitcher Trevor Megill.
