Winker is now officially out for the best-of-three AL Wild Card Series after an MRI taken on Wednesday morning revealed a disc issue.
The twenty-nine-year-old finishes his first regular season in Seattle slashing .219/.344/.688, with 14 home runs, 53 RBIs and 51 runs scored over 456 at-bats. It's a significant downgrade to his .305 batting average and .949 OPS last year with the Cincinnati Reds.
Winker is in the middle of a two-year, $14,500,000 contract with the Mariners.
