Mariners Announce Wild Card Series Game 1 Starter
The Seattle Mariners have announced their Game 1 starter for the Wild Card Series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday afternoon.
Luis Castillo will draw the start at Rogers Centre on Friday afternoon for the Mariners.

Castillo was acquired from the Cincinnati Reds by the Mariners at the trade deadline. Since coming over to Seattle, Castillo has been slightly worse, posting a 3.17 ERA compared to the 2.86 he registered with the Reds for half of the season.
Overall, the twenty-nine-year-old ace has posted a 2.99 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 167 strikeouts over 150 innings this season. In 25 starts, he held an 8-6 record.
Castillo has made just one start against the Blue Jays this season, back on May 20, while he was still on the Reds. Castillo went six innings and allowed two earned runs and seven hits while striking out five in the contest. The Reds lost the game 2-1.
It will be Alek Manoah vs Luis Castillo in Game 1 at 4:07 PM ET on Friday.
