Rivera, who was traded for RHP Luke Weaver at the trade deadline, hit .227 in 132 AB in 39 G with Arizona. He hit 6 HR, had 18 RBI, and struck out 37x.
Rivera was apparently dealing with some mild soreness, but it turns out he actually suffered a fractured wrist.
The twenty-six-year-old rookie's season comes to a close slashing .233/.292/.701, with 12 home runs, 40 RBIs, one stolen base, and 46 runs scored over 330 at-bats.
Rivera is a former 19th-round pick by the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 MLB Draft.
Rivera joined the D-Backs on August 1 in a trade that saw Arizona send pitcher Luke Weaver to the Kansas City Royals.
