Cleveland Guardians Remove 2 Pitchers from ALDS Roster
The Cleveland Guardians are switching things up for the ALDS against the New York Yankees, as Nick Sandlin and Kirk McCarty are off of the playoff roster.
Sandlin's removal from the playoff roster is not surprising, as he has been ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs due to a strained upper back/shoulder. This is certainly a big loss for the Guardians, as he has been a very effective reliever for them all season. In 46 games this campaign, he had a 5-2 record and 2.25 ERA.
McCarty, on the other hand, made 13 appearances for the Guardians this season. During them, he put together a 4-3 record to go along with a 4.54 ERA.
