The club has optioned Dakota Hudson and JoJo Romero.
We have activated RHP Jordan Hicks (right arm fatigue) from the 15-day IL and recalled LHP Matthew Liberatore from Memphis (AAA).

Hudson was lit up for seven runs while just recording eight outs on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates for his final outing of the 2022 regular season.
After the start, Hudson's ERA jumped up to 4.45, with a 1.45 WHIP, and 78 strikeouts over 139.2 innings of work. He made 26 starts and held an 8-7 record.
The Cardinals have optioned JoJo Romero to Triple-A Memphis.
With this move, Romero will not be part of the NL Wild Card Series roster in St. Louis. The left-handed pitcher finishes his season with a 4.96 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts over 16 innings in the majors this season.
