Brewers Top Prospect Shut Down from AFL
He will miss the remainder of the Arizona Fall League season.
Milwaukee Brewers prospect Tyler Black fractured his left thumb and is out for the rest of the AFL season.
Black suffered the injury on Friday while sliding into second base. He'll miss the final two weeks of the AFL season.

Tyler Black fractured his left thumb sliding into second base yesterday in the Arizona Fall League so his season is over two weeks prematurely. Finished with a .279/.413/.377 slash line in 76 PAs in the AFL. Black is @MLBPipeline’s No. 6 Brewers prospect.

The twenty-two-year-old was a 2021 first-round pick by the Brewers and is considered one of the top prospects in the organization.
This past season, Black slashed a solid .281/.406/.424, with four home runs, 35 RBIs, 13 stolen bases and 45 runs scored over 64 games played at the High-A level.
He is the Brewers' sixth-ranked prospect.
