Boston Red Sox Designate Pitcher For Assignment
After claiming Jake Reed off of waivers from the Baltimore Orioles, the Boston Red Sox have now designated Eduard Bazardo for assignment.
With Bazardo's removal from Boston's 40-man roster, he is set to hit the waiver wire. This is familiar territory for Bazardo, as he was DFA'd by the Red Sox earlier this season but ended up clearing. From there, he was later called back up to the Red Sox, where he finished the year.
Bazardo was pretty solid when with the major league squad, too, so there definitely could be some interest in his services. In 12 appearances, he had a strong 2.76 ERA, so let's see if that is enough for him to get claimed elsewhere.
