Astros Set Game 2 Starter
The Houston Astros got a big Game 1 win over the New York Yankees on Wednesday night in Houston.
Dusty Baker and the Astros will turn to Framber Valdez to start Game 2 of the ALCS on Thursday against the Yankees.

He follows Justin Verlander in Game 1 on Wednesday. Valdez worked Game 2 of the ALDS last week versus the Seattle Mariners, allowing two runs with six strikeouts over 5.2 innings in the Astros' 4-2 win.Dusty Baker says Framber Valdez is going in game two because in part he has the “resiliency” to start on short rest.”

The twenty-eight-year-old had a fantastic season, registering a stellar 2.82 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 194 strikeouts across 201.1 innings and 31 starts during the regular season.
Valdez will line up against Luis Severino on Thursday night.
