Washington Nationals Sign Pitcher
The Washington Nationals have added to their pitching depth. as they have inked Juan Minaya to a minor league contract.
Minaya was released by the Minnesota Twins earlier this month, but he has now found a new home with the Nationals. The 32-year-old will be hoping to impress in Triple-A from here, as it could be enough for him to land a call-up to Washington before the season is over.
Minaya's 2022 season has not been very impressive, however. In six games with the Twins on the year, he had a 1-0 record but a rather high 5.59 ERA. He has been even worse in Triple-A, however, as he has a 1-5 record and 6.39 ERA in 31 games. Alas, let's see if he can end the year on a high note from here.
