Video: Albert Pujols Crushes Home Run No. 695
During Sunday's contest against the Chicago Cubs, Albert Pujols pinch-hit and blasted the 695th home run of his career. He is truly heating up at the perfect time, as he is now just five home runs shy of hitting the 700-home run club.
This home run was a massive one for the Cardinals, too, as it gave them a 2-0 lead, which would end up being the final score. Thus, Pujols played the hero for the Cardinals just like the good ol' days. Who doesn't love a little bit of nostalgia?
With this home run, Pujols also only trails Alex Rodriguez by one home run. If he passes him before the season is over, he will rank fourth all-time in career home runs.
All fans will need to keep a close eye on Pujols, as the idea of him hitting career home run No. 700 is looking more and more likely.
