Twins Select Contract of Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins have selected the contract of pitcher Dereck Rodriguez from Triple-A St. Paul.

Trevor Megill has been placed on the COVID-list.

With reliever Trevor Megill heading to the injured list, the Twins called up Rodriguez to help out of the bullpen.

This will be the thirty-year-old's second stint with the Twins, as he made one appearance for them back on April 13.

In four innings pitched this season in the majors, Rodriguez has allowed four hits, three earned runs and three walks.

Rodriguez has posted a 5.02 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 88 strikeouts over 89 innings. In 22 games, he's started 15 and posted a 7-4 record.
