The 34-year-old RHP opted out of his contract earlier in the week but is back in the MIN organization. He has a 1.95 ERA with 57 K in 50 2/3 IP in Triple-A in 2022. https://t.co/rwfIwOVde5
The thirty-four-year-old has been excellent in the minors this season, posting a phenomenal 1.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 57 strikeouts over 50 innings of work. He has a 4-3 record and has converted 12 saves.
Peacock last pitched in the major leagues in 2021 with the Boston Red Sox, working five innings and allowing nine earned runs. The former starter has spent eight of his 10 seasons in the majors with the Houston Astros, compiling a career ERA of 4.11, a 1.31 WHIP and averaging 9.5 K/9.
He'll provide the Twins with some extra organizational pitching depth.
