Toronto Blue Jays & Miami Marlins Complete Trade

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Edward Duran as the player to be named later from the Miami Marlins in the Anthony Bass trade earlier this season.

Duran is an 18-year-old catcher who will certainly be a long-term project for the Blue Jays. The youngster has played in 61 games at the FRk level over the past two seasons, where he has zero home runs, 18 RBIs, and a .254 batting average.

It will be intriguing to see if Duran can eventually become a major leaguer for the Blue Jays. There's no harm in taking a chance on an under-the-radar prospect.
